While out of town on a race last weekend, we had time to stop in to a mini-zoo. Overall, it was pretty sad… small cages, lots of really large, sad, animals. But that’s not the point. The crazy thing is what they consider “zoo animals”. This one made me grin!

Racoons as zoo animals, it makes you feel like you have seen it all doesn't it! YOu have to go to Mt. Takao and see the crazy monkeys.
We definately will! We were out running at a race in Nagano a few weeks ago and saw a hold herd (?) of monkeys running through the fields. It was crazy! I need to start running with a little camera :)
Oh, Abby, I see those all the time! Mind you, they are usually much flatter, and much, much deader.

Yeah- you should have seen the tiny armidillo that was at the zoo too! Consider yourself added! :)

I'm with Alli...the picture is cute, but I've see way too many dead ones on the road lately.
